Have you ever wondered how life in the NWMP
was like when Colonel Macleod was in the NWMP? there was a march to the west it
was not easy. The reason for this was to
stop the whisky trade. The NWMP was formed in 1873 it had 3 purposes they were;
to show the western prairies they were ruled by Canada, to bring law and order,
and to stop the whisky trade. The NWMP was formed similar to the British army
lots of men recruited. In 1904 The NWMP name changed to the Royal north west
mounted polices, in 1920 there name was
caged to the RCMP .There uniform looked like the British army later they wore
brown uniforms.

He attended a college in Toronto, Ontario and then went to the Queen’s college in Kingston, Ontario. He graduated from the Queen’s college with a B.A. in classes and philosophy. James was enrolled in law school in 1856 he graduated in 1860 with a L.L.B.

They made it safer to live in the wild west by traveling over to it and making it have a polices force in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and, Manitoba. He also helped people because he was a Loir and worked for the N.W.M.P.
