TOM THREE PERSONS AMAZING BRONCO RIDER
CHANGE Tom Three Persons was one of the people who competed in the first Calgary Stampede and he won then bronco riding. He was the only person from Alberta to do so. The Calgary Stampede was held in 1912. That was the same year that the Titanic sunk. Tom had to fight against the people in charge the stampede so he could participate because before First Nations were not allowed. He won and so First Nations could now go in the stampede. When Tom had won many other First Nation bronco riders came the bronco that Tom Three Persons rode name is Cyclone. That Bronco was not trained and no one had stayed on for 8 seconds ridden him before. Tom got $20 000 in gold that was an enormous amount of money in those days. Tom started a cattle ranch near Cardston. That was in the 1930’s in the great depression. EARLY LIFE
Tom Three Persons was born in Tom’s dad was a white trader named Fred Pace and his mother was a First Nation. Tom’s original name was Mutsi- i-Kitstuki witch means handsome offering Black Foot. He was baptized as Moses Three Persons but everybody knew him as Tom.

Tom was born in 1889 and died in 1969 from falling out of a wagon. Tom tot lots of young First Nations how to ride horses and how to take care of cattle herds. Tom was not expected to have as much success as he did in his life because he was First Nation.
VALUES
Tom Three Persons probably valued hard work because he did not give up in the stampede. Also competing because he went to lots of competitions. I think also horses because he rode them a lot when he was herding cattle.
